On inspection of the tire, the repair man (Cliff, I presume) determined the valve stem extension had been severed, probably by ice junks, as the highway was covered in ice, slush and snow, which somehow had gotten between the duals and broke it off. He also determined there had been no damage to the tire, and promptly installed a valve stem core and 'aired' it back up.
This afternoon, while fueling up my M/H in Whitehall, MT., I noticed I had a flat tire on the left rear, outside dual - as Cliff's Automotive / Tire Repair shop was just across the street, I walked over to see if I could have it repaired. As they had just completed another repair, I was told to bring it right over.
Upon completion, when I asked 'how much', 'Cliff' said all it took was a 'little air' and he would not take a cent.
The least I could do is to post this so others will know (they probably already know of their great service)
